SITUATION OF THE PROJECT
The area from this project conform “M. J. Arnalot” gardens, placed on the neighborhood of “Sant Genís” in Barcelona. Actually this location presents some residual character. It supposes a set spaces and corners that have remained unattended from the projects to remodel the rest of urban areas around it.
There is a big difference of level between “Jordà” avenue and M. J. Arnalot” gardens. For this reason, the proposal need to be so complex, in one hand taking care of all the characteristics and priorities of this urban site and in the other hand resolving connectivity and harmony between spaces.

MEMORY OF THE PROJECT
Once analyzed the irregularity of this place, his location between a residential building, the topography and the small dimension of the surface of this project, we concluded that the best option is to embed each corner and space of this area to its existing immediate, adapting its appearance to the style and characteristics of the existing. This way the zone loses its residual character to get connectivity and permeability with the rest. The whole area gets then a set of homogeneous and open image.
The project begins in the lowest level of existing gardens and resolves the difference using inclined planes, ramps and some stairs.
We respect the actual uses, the neighborly relations with the perimeter and the actual access to premises of the ground floor.
To resolve the lighting, we put three “Prim” columns that provide and homogeneous light, facilitating some social control.
