SITUATION OF THE PROJECT
This project consists to construct a new building to enlarge the ground floor and the first floor of the faculty of Economics at the University of Barcelona. The university is in a little city from Barcelona named “Cerdanyola del Valles”.
The available ground to construct this new building, rectangular in shape, is on the edge of east side of existing building. The surface of ground is a little inclined (5-6% variable slope) and the lowest level is to the south side.

MEMORY OF THE PROJECT
The proposal of this building consists to a central corridor with organized offices on each side and distributed in two floors. The connectivity point between the new building and the existing one is an access zone designed with a transparent corridor.
After analyzing the characteristics of the existing building that is structured around a central area of seven meters long, we conclude that this structure offers a pattern of management of first floor of the new building. This floor will be structured the same way.
The projected offices spaces can be both individual and collectives, variable from one unity that measures seven meters with a 3’5 meters modulation. Those offices are aligned along the collecting area of the corridor.
The stairs to the first floor and the emergency ramp to the ground floor (both placed in the transverse direction to the building “B3P”) are in the area of union between the two buildings.
The basic module is projected too for the façade, which are located sequentially a series of empty and filled finishes in white brick, alternating with large glazed windows.
